BIOGRAPHY

Sladjana Nina Perkovic (born 1981) is a Franco-Bosnian journalist and fiction writer. After completing her studies in Political Science at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, she worked primarily as a news correspondent for media organizations in the former Yugoslavia. Her journalistic work has also appeared in numerous European publications.

Today, Sladjana is mainly dedicated to her writing career. She has published a short story collection, Kuhanje (Cooking), as well as the novels U jarku (In the Ditch) and Lijek protiv melanholije (Remedy Against Melancholia). U jarku was awarded as the EUPL 2022 special mention, and Lijek protiv melanholije was longlisted for the 2025 NIN Award.

Her work has been translated into French, English, Italian, and German.
